HELP SAVE THE PENGUINS!!!
1. Help sponsor a penguin nest:

Peter, Pamela and Percy are helping to buy nests for the penguins. So far they have bought:
* 4 from Dyer Island Conservation Trust and
* 3 from SANParks at Boulders Beach.

Thank you for buying my book and making this possible!

The nest boxes are specially designed to protect the eggs from predators and the juveniles from heat exhaustion which is having an impact on the population of these fabulous little creatures.

2. Buy your own Penguin nest box:

Click Buy a nest box from Dyer Island Conservation Trust

You could think of it as owning some prime real estate in a really exclusive spot, private beach, sea views ... ;)

3. Buy a copy of the Big Spill from SANCCOB. SANCCOB saves sea birds!

4. Adopt a penguin:

Since 1968, SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) has treated more than 85,000 sea birds - the majority of which are the vulnerable African penguin. SANCCOB is a rehabilitation centre situated in Table View, Cape Town. Every year, approximately 1 500 oiled, ill, injured and orphaned seabirds are rehabilitated. Recent research by the Animal Demography Unit at the University of Cape Town has shown that the African Penguin population is 19% higher today than it would have been in the absence of SANCCOB’s efforts in rehabilitation. If you would like to help SANCCOB care for Southern Africa’s vulnerable seabirds, you can support the Adopt a Penguin Programme. Click here for more information.

Thank you!
